Educational Criteria

The educational qualification for HSSC Police Constable requires candidates to have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized board or institution. Applicants must also have studied Hindi or Sanskrit at the Matric or higher level.

Physical Standards

For male candidates, the minimum height is 170 cm for General and 168 cm for Reserved categories, with chest measurements of 83–87 cm (General) and 81–85 cm (Reserved). They must complete a 2.5 km run in 12 minutes.

For female candidates, the minimum height is 158 cm for General and 156 cm for Reserved categories. There is no chest requirement, and they must complete a 1 km run in 6 minutes.

Salary Details

For HSSC Police Constable, the monthly salary is based on the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix, with a basic pay scale of about ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 (Pay Level-3) plus various allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and transport allowance. With these allowances, a newly recruited constable’s in-hand salary is roughly around ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month.
