Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- General/OBC/SC/EWS: Must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or Higher Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board.
- ST Candidates: Minimum Class 8 pass is required.
- Mandatory Skill: Candidates must know how to play at least one musical instrument (Brass or Pipe band).
2. Age Limit (as of April 19, 2026)
- Minimum: 18 Years
- Maximum (General/EWS): 33 Years
- Maximum (SC/ST/OBC/Govt. Employees): 38 Years

Selection Process
Since there is no written exam, the selection relies on practical skills and physical verification:
- Skill Test (Qualifying): A basic screening to check if the candidate can handle the instrument.
- Band Playing Test (75 Marks): * 60 Marks: Main performance on the primary instrument.
- 15 Marks: Bonus marks for proficiency in additional instruments.
- Interview (25 Marks): Evaluates trade knowledge and personality.
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Verification of height and chest requirements.
- Medical Examination & Document Verification.
Salary & Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of ₹19,500 to ₹62,000.
- Probation Period: 3 Years.
- Stipend: 70% of pay in the 1st year, 80% in the 2nd year, and 90% in the 3rd year.
