RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 Notification Soon For 60,000 Level 1 Posts

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to release the RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 notification very soon. Candidates who have passed Class 10th or ITI will be able to apply for various level 1 posts. As per expectations, around 60,000 vacancies will be announced across different railway zones.

RRB Group D Recruitment 2026

Those applicants who could not apply last year due to some reason and are waiting for the RRB Group D 2026 vacancy, this news is for them. The Railway Recruitment Board is going to release the Group D 2026 notification very soon, and around 60,000 vacancies will be announced for various Level-1 posts.

Under Group D recruitment, candidates are selected for posts such as:

• Track Maintainer Grade IV
• Helper / Assistant in Electrical Department
• Helper / Assistant in Mechanical Department
• Helper / Assistant in Signal & Telecom
• Assistant Pointsman
• Other Level-1 posts

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility conditions for RRB Group D 2026 are expected to remain similar to previous recruitments.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have any one of the following:

• Class 10th (Matriculation) Pass, or
• ITI Certificate from a recognized institute

No higher qualification is required.

Age Limit (Expected)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 33 years

Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates as per government rules:

• SC/ST – 5 years
• OBC – 3 years
• PwBD – As per norms

Final age details will be mentioned in the official notification.

RRB Group D Salary 2026

Candidates selected under RRB Group D will get salary as per 7th Pay Commission.

Basic Pay: ₹18,000 per month

Along with basic pay, employees also get:

• Dearness Allowance (DA)
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) or Railway quarters
• Travel Allowance
• Medical facilities
• Pension and retirement benefits

Overall, the monthly in-hand salary can range between ₹22,000 to ₹25,000, depending on location and allowances

RRB Group D Selection Process 2026

The selection process is expected to include four main stages.

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

This is the first stage and is compulsory for all candidates.

Subjects included:

• Mathematics
• General Intelligence and Reasoning
• General Science
• General Awareness & Current Affairs

The questions will be objective type and of basic level.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates who qualify CBT will be called for PET.

For Male Candidates:

• Carry 35 kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes
• Run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds

For Female Candidates:

• Carry 20 kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes
• Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds

PET is qualifying in nature.

3. Document Verification

Original documents like:

• Educational certificates
• Age proof
• Category certificate
• ID proof

will be checked at this stage.

4. Medical Examination

Candidates must be medically fit as per railway standards.

   Go to any regional RRB site like rrbcdg.gov.in
2. Open Group D notification
   Click on RRB Group D (Level-1) Recruitment and read details.
3. Register yourself
   Click Apply Online → New Registration
   Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
4. Fill the form
   Login using registration number and password.
   Fill personal details, education, and select RRB zone.
5. Upload photo & signature
   Upload clear passport photo and signature.
6. Pay application fee
   Pay online using UPI, debit card, or net banking.
7. Submit & save form
   Submit the form and save/print it for future use.
