UPSC NDA 1 2026 Notification OUT, 394 Vacancies in Army, Navy & Airforce Wing

The Union Public Service Commission has released the official notification for National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I) 2026 today on December 10, 2025. Through the UPSC NDA 1 Examination 2026 a total of 394 candidates selected for Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA.

Online applications for UPSC NDA 1 2026 Notification has started on December 10 and continue until December 30, 2025. Written exam will be conducted on April 12, 2026 in different 81 cities across the country.

UPSC NDA 1 2026 Notification

Online notification pdf for National Defence Academy & Naval Academy (NDA 1 Exam 2026) is available on the offiical website – upsconline.nic.in. Candidates who were waiting for NDA 1 application form can now submit their applications online from December 10 to 30, 2025. Vacancy details as

• Army Wing (NDA): 198 posts for men + 10 for women = 208 seats.
• Navy Wing (NDA): 37 male and 5 female posts = 42 seats.
• Air Force Flying (NDA): 90 male + 9 female = 99 seats.
• Air Force Technical Duties: 16 seats for men, 2 for women = 18 total.
• Air Force Non-Tech Duties: Only 8 seats for females.
• Naval Academy: 29 seats for male candidates.

Qualification Requirements

• Army Wing (NDA): Must have passed Class 12th (10+2 pattern) from a recognized board or university.
• Air Force & Naval Wings / 10+2 Cadet Entry (INA): Must have cleared Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Students Appearing in 12th: Can apply, but they need to submit their Class 12th pass certificate by 10 December 2026.

Age Limits

• Candidates must be unmarried.
• Date of Birth should be between 01 July 2007 and 01 July 2010 (inclusive).
• This age limit applies to all candidates. No relaxation is generally allowed.

Application Fee

• General and OBC male applicants need to pay an application fee of ₹100.
• SC/ST candidates do not have to pay any fee.
• All female candidates are fully exempt from the fee.
• Wards of JCOs, NCOs, and ORs also do not need to pay any fee.

Pay Scale/ Salary

• NDA Training Stipend: ₹56,100 per month during the entire training period.
• Pay After Commissioning (Lieutenant/Flying Officer/Sub Lieutenant): ₹56,100 per month (Pay Level-10).
• Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 per month for all officers up to Brigadier.
• Other Allowances: Eligible for various allowances like DA, Kit Maintenance, Field Area allowance, etc., after commissioning.
• Promotions: Officers can rise from Lieutenant to Captain, Major, and higher ranks based on service and selection.

UPSC NDA 1 Exam Pattern

• Paper I – Mathematics: 2½ hours, Code 01, Maximum Marks 300
• Paper II – General Ability Test (GAT): 2½ hours, Code 02, Maximum Marks 600
• Total Written Exam: 5 hours, Total Marks 900
• SSB Interview / Personality Test: 4 days, Maximum Marks 900
• Grand Total Marks: 1800

How to apply UPSC NDA 1 2026?

Follow the steps below to fill out the NDA 1 2025 application form online:

1. Visit the Official Website

Go to the UPSC online portal: upsconline.nic.in

2. Click on “One-Time Registration (OTR)”

If you are a new user, complete the OTR registration by entering your basic details, mobile number, email ID, and uploading required documents.
If already registered, simply log in.

3. Fill the NDA 1 2025 Application Form

After login:

• Click on “UPSC NDA I 2025 Examination” under active notifications.
• Fill in your personal information, educational details, and communication details correctly.

4. Upload Required Documents

You must upload:

• Recent passport-size photograph
• Signature
• Photo ID proof (as per UPSC instructions)
  Make sure all files are uploaded in the specified size and format.

5. Select Your Exam Centre

Choose the preferred exam centre from the list. Centres are allotted on a first-apply, first-allot basis.

6. Pay the Application Fee

Payment can be done through:

• Debit/credit card
• Net banking
• SBI challan (offline)

Fee Details:

• SC/ST/Female: No fee
• General/OBC/ (Male): ₹100

7. Preview & Submit

Carefully check your form before final submission.
Once confirmed, click “Submit”.
